The CasinoWiki launches, and people are editing already!
A few days ago you received an email about HETInfo.com’s latest project, the CasinoWiki. In just the 3 days that we’ve had our test site up, we’ve had over 500 unique visitors! Even better, some of those visitors have started to edit articles — or even create new ones.
The CasinoWiki is here to provide the latest and most pertinent information for entertainment travelers and professional players alike. Instead of trying to wade through dozens of online forums and mailing lists, or looking at websites with stale, outdated information, why not come by the CasinoWiki today and take a look at the information others are providing. If you have information to share, you can do it instantly just by clicking the “edit” button in the section you’re updating, and go to town.
For those who’d like to see what is getting updated, there is now a “Recent changes” link in the sidebar. Click that and look at what people are writing.
You don’t have to be a professional writer or a technogeek to add information. Every little bit helps: room reviews, parking information, we’ve even got a section dedicated to upcoming tournaments and offers at Harrahs casinos in Las Vegas. If you have something unique to say, jump to the CasinoWiki today and share it. All of us appreciate it, and by visiting often, you can help us keep the information fresher than anywhere else on the web.
Starting in February, we’ll be offering a small prize for a random editor of any article. It doesn’t matter if you write the next Great American Novel, or just fix a little error by a previous editor. Watch this newsletter for more information. And don’t forget to tell your friends and family who travel, maybe they have something to contribute and learn.

HETInfo.com has been replaced with the CasinoWiki
Hello friends!
Sorry for the lack of ANY updates on HETInfo.com — the once premier source for Harrahs Entertainment information. It’s been well over a year, I think, since my last update. Some of you may not even recall you were subscribed to my email list.
HETInfo.com has been replaced with a new site: the CasinoWiki. This site uses the same software as Wikipedia. This means that YOU THE PLAYER will be able to help keep us updated with the freshest information.
The site’s actual launch date is February 1, 2009, but it is functional now as we iron out the bugs and start adding content. You can go there TODAY and start adding some yourself.
The best news is that the editor of my blog network will be monitoring the CasinoWiki EVERY DAY and keeping things clean and uncluttered. We also have an editorial assistant who is helping out.
Don’t hesitate to add or edit information as you see fit. We’ll stay on top of confirming it and keeping it spam free. So head over there now and see how it grows over the next few weeks.
